Thanksgiving in America Those English

09.09 Thanksgiving in America. Those English who do remember that this celebrates the breakaway of upstart colonists, from King George of Albion, probably don't celebrate it. But here, it has the same sense as Christmas in England (as a secular holiday).

Dinner at Chez Belewbeloid was like being with family. Graham & Brenda Elvis were also at the table. Adrian, hero of the kitchen, prepared two turkeys. I felt it was more important to enter the spirit of the occasion than to claim dietary privilege & exemptions, so chose some very tasty breast to accompany the string beans and stuffing. Pecan pie with pecan ice-cream & whipped cream to follow. Everything was very tasty indeed.

Then I returned Sister to her hotel and, after dealing with arising e-business, I'm shortly off to have a day of play.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
